Cool job; isn't it amazing what can be accomplished with coffee buddies, iPad (in my case a home office PC) & cell phone. (PC and "cell" don't resonate completely in a positive way but I turn that into positive energy for sure.)

Hi, I gave up my good job Managing a Container Logistics Company her ein Durban (South Africa) to pursue photography - my passion - took a massive pay-cut and ego-chop in the process. I might have done it differently if I had a do-over, but I STILL think you have to eventually do what you love to do in life or you will never be happy.

True words from one who speaks from experience, thanks Corwin. The adage that speaks of "it's not destination but the journey" comes to mind. Along the way we come across relationships that are supportive or demanding. It takes work to keep the supportive list longer than the demanding side, although useful for keeping the wheel of life turning.

Brilliant! Thanks for putting this out there. I had interviewed mountaineers and climbers back in New Zealand but this ... something else.

Have you read Simon Jakeman's book 'Groundrush'? I remember finding it years ago and being electrified by a basejumpers story. Looking at the dust jacket, I read: 'Groundrush is a terrifying, often moving, sometimes funny exploration of the relationshiop of risk to fear - a test of Zen in action at the extreme most of us would not dare to approach'.

Anyway, thanks.
