Local Beauty and Style Expert Gets the Chance of a Lifetime
Vancouver, BC – Nadia Albano is a local beauty and style expert who has always imagined bringing her creative flare to TV and she recently got her big break this summer. Her knowledge and charisma got the attention of W Network, and fans across the country, resulting in an invitation to travel to Toronto to take part in the second edition of The Ultimate W Expert Challenge. Albano was in awe, “People have always told me I should have my own TV show, and funny enough I always wanted that chance but never thought I’d have a shot at making it happen. When this competition came up I thought I’d give it a try and when I got the call to go film in Toronto with W Network I was so excited!”
After hundreds of weddings, events, photo shoots, consultations and class rooms she’s known that it was time to branch out and share her passion and skills with more people; TV is a perfect fit. “The competition was a real eye opener. I really loved working with Karen Bertelsen and the cast and crew. I knew from the moment we started filming it just felt right. I was on a local cable show back when I was 9 years old; this was a lot more intense and it didn’t require wearing a leotard jumpsuit.”

A natural teacher, Albano takes the complexities of make-up and wardrobe planning and provides clarity and budget-conscious steps that help women of all ages feel confident, beautiful, and radiant. “My favourite part about what I do is seeing someone stand in front of a mirror and look at themselves in a whole new way. I really enjoy being a part of that transformation from frumpy to fabulous.” Nadia is also the founder and lead instructor of the Makeup Artistry Program at Vancouver Community College and is a contributor to magazines like Wedluxe and Real Weddings.

More About The Ultimate W Expert Challenge – The second installment of The Ultimate W Expert Challenge is back this August with three, one-hour specials. In the specials, hosted by Karen Bertelsen, six finalists from The W Experts Search, all experts in different fields, go head to head for the chance to win a development deal with W Network. The contestants, who have diverse backgrounds in food, design, health and wellness, fashion, finance and personal development, will have their skills and TV talent put to the test through three major challenges. The finalists will be judged by host Karen Bertelsen, along with a variety of seasoned W Network Experts and a handful of successful magazine editors, and those who don’t measure up will be sent packing. Hopefuls compete to become the next W Network Expert when the three specials air Wednesday, August 4 at 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 11 at 8 p.m. and Wednesday, August 18 at 8 p.m.
